In the following applet you can define an observer's position by entering
geocentric coordinates or ellipsoidal
coordinates.
The conversion is determined by two values which represent the reference ellipsoid that best
matches the earth's shape. You may
change either the earth's equatorial radius or its
reciprocal oblateness
(flattening) or both.
The reset button will reinstall the default values of the earth's ellipsoid.
Leave the cursor

The conversion is done by
hitting the Return key.
